About Tom Fuller

Musical maverick Tom Fuller’s is a man at a creative crossroads.  His passionate career journey to create impactful, emotional songs continues, but with significant changes as showcased in his intimate, soon-to-be-released seventh album, Straight From The Heart.

Always the artistic innovator, Fuller stripped down past rockers and ballads he wrote down to their core, reinventing them as intimate acoustic-based love songs.  With Straight From The Heart, Tom journeyed back to the future where he started his career as a solo singer-songwriter artist thirty years ago.  Pop-rocker Fuller’s career accomplishments include the Billboard charting single “Doin’ Nothin’” in 2019 followed by his acclaimed Waterfall album that contained two more Billboard charting hit singles in 2020 – “Forever I’m Yours” and the title track “Waterfall.” Then during an isolating pandemic, the resolute singer-songwriter changed his musical focus and surroundings.

In solitude during the COVID pandemic break, Fuller could be found in his new dream home complete with full studio and performance space, attempting to write new tunes.  But he was not quite feeling the artistry.  Tom, determined to chart his next major musical creation, reflected on earlier songwriting successes and a new visionary spark ignited based on his older music. Fuller carefully chose ten of his full-band studio recordings and transformed them into gorgeous solo songs, plus he wrote two new tunes.  The dozen Straight From The Heart songs, all under three minutes, were recorded at Philharmonic Studios in the Chicagoland suburb of Vernon Hills, a new recording space for Tom, and also with a new producer, reflective of Fuller’s different approach and desired musical output.  Like other past Tom Fuller albums, however, it will be mastered at London's Abbey Road Studios.

“Playing in a killer rock band performing my tunes all over the world was an incredible high for me.  I love my bandmates and I’m grateful for their unwavering support and professionalism,” Fuller stated.  “But at this point in my career, after six albums and post-COVID with various other changes in my life, the answer to my artistic search finally just hit me: this was the exact right time for a timelessly listenable solo album.”

Overall, Tom Fuller’s songs embrace his very personal lyrics that engage, uplift and resonate with passion, truth and a lot of heart.  His outstanding Rock/Pop/AC music has broad universal appeal, with rabid fanbases spread throughout the United States, United Kingdom and Europe.  Tom has recorded in the past with members of Paul McCartney’s band, Brian Ray and Abe Laboriel, Jr., plus with a Grammy-award winning producer on various earlier projects.

With his rockin’ five-piece band, Tom Fuller has performed all over the world at iconic music venues, such as the Paradiso in Amsterdam, Gruenspan in Hamburg, Cavern Club in Liverpool, O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire in London, La Maroquinerie in Paris, plus the historic Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, various House of Blues and other classic U.S. musical venues in countless cities.  Fuller and his bandmates have also performed at legendary festivals including Summerfest numerous times.  Impressively they have toured with Little Feat, Trampled by Turtles, Tesla and others, plus played gigs with other chart-topping bands and incredible artists including Soul Asylum, Guess Who, Blues Traveler, Rusted Root, Robin Trower, and UFO, among many others.

Tom Fuller often says, “Music is my passion and destiny.”  True to his word, look for more details about Tom Fuller’s upcoming album Straight From The Heart and singles as well as performance dates in the near future.  Tom’s musical and life journey continues, and he is excited to exclaim, “The man is back in action and I’m more than ready to share my new/old love songs with you all!!
